Although there will be a more formal announcement this week along with other Rally related news, I could not contain my excitement and wanted to share with you that a handful of major partners have joined the Rally effort.

Ferrari of Silicon Valley has just signed on to the 2012 FOG Rally with robust sponsorship at the Diamond level.

We could not be happier about this partnership! When you venture in to the dealership, please take a moment to thank Jason and the rest of the team for their strong support of the Rally and this year's charity, Blue Planet Network!

Check out Doug Dolton, Evan Shone and the rest of the team over at San Francisco Motorsports. We are thrilled that they too have come on as a Diamond Sponsor for the 2012 Rally. SFM provided outstanding support to the Rally last year, and as some of you know, their master mechanic, John Heim, "saved the day" for three drivers who experienced mechanical issues en route.

We are also fortunate to have Plycar Transportation Group on board as a Platinum Sponsor. Plycar is a major player in auto transport and is very excited to be supporting the 2012 Rally. We are grateful to Jim Ferzoco and the rest of the team at PTG for their strong support of the Rally. Well, technically, Thursday through Sunday -- the launch party is Thursday evening at the Fairmont Hotel. The Rally departs Friday morning and overnights in Santa Barbara. Saturday evening is the Banquet and awards evening, and Sunday is the closing breakfast. Similar schedule to last year.

If not those two, Cambodia, Laos or south Vietnam? The items don't look like they belong in the other three countries I'm thinking of.

ONLY because of the square mile coverage geographically...Larger country...More area=better chance of being right, Right ?
