Thermal Racetrack dead?

Is there any new information on the proposed racetrack at Thermal just outside of Palm Springs? (www.trm122.com) I have not heard of anything on it lately and was wondering if it was stil lalive or if it died out as most of these ideas do.

No, Thermal was another project. The link I posted describes it better.

You could ask the folks in Gardena if they want another race track but somehow I don't think you'll have much luck.

I used to race at Ascot Park in the high school motocross races back in the mid- to late-70s. I think it was on selected Wednesday nights, IIRC (?). Escape Country/Racing World (now Trabuco Canyon Estates or something) on the weekends. Fun!

My friend is connected with that track and it seems like it's still moving forward. I can give you his email address if you'd like to get more info?

I live in between thermal and palm springs. they write in the newspaper anytime any developements are made, I havent heard anything. Im sure there is far more progress going on behind the scenes than the newspapers will get a hold of though.

are they still planning on having a track capable of hosting F1? good god that would flood the valley with tourists. great for business, bad for traffic. this place wasnt built to handle traffic. I would hang around the track all day like a little kid.

Thermal is alive!

I was competing at the Global Tuner Grand Prix at Laguna Seca in Oct 2010 and Thermal had a booth and are planning to break ground on the project in 2011!
