Latest F149 pics
These pics of an F149 test mule were taken yesterday in Maranello by a member of a UK forum. These are the best shots yet with the least camo that I've seen.

The side profile looks really good! I wonder if that's what the wheels will look like? I really like the design.

Looks like a corvette... I hope they are really ugly camo-covers on that car...

Hmmm...
There seems to be some kind of indentation on the doors...maybe like the 599's? Carboceramic brakes. Something seems to be hidden where the C pillar meets the trunk. The font end definitely seems to have that oval grille that was talked about. Something is hiding under the slight hump on the roof...maybe multiple roof panels or a glass section? It must be fun for designers to read all the internet speculation each time a mule is driven in public. Overall this might turn out to be the prettiest new Ferrari since the 360, but that could be either good or bad depending how you look at it. The 599, though not pretty at first, was certainly striking and grew on people. A rehashed, pretty - yet SL'ish - shape might be pretty, but too 'common' looking for the demographic. |

The headlight cover gives interesting insights. Looks like the actual body is a lot narrower than that camouflage. My guess is that the headlights won't look like anything we've seen before from Ferrari, especially the 'bulge' that can be seen under both lights looks somewhat strange, togehter with that rounded side line the headlights seem to have a near triangular shape. Hope it won't turn out like what R&T predicts, compare the pictures... although those mule pictures suggest that the body is more rounded compared to the straight lines around the front lights R&T's rendering has, I fear they might be close to reality...

Looks kinda large, or the driver is just really small.

Man I can't wait for this car to be unveiled, I have a feeling it is going to be a real beauty and all of this speculation will come to rest.

I haven't liked this car from the start but might be changing my mind.
Been a long time since Ferrari made a great looking car. Will see |

I haven't studied this camo like you guys, but this is kind of resembles a GranTurismo in the front and a 599 in the rear to me. No doubt the camo is trying to give the impression of a much fuller bodied car than it actually is. The camo on the side looks like it is there to make the car look wider since there is a rather odd indent on the driver's side. The C pillar camo looks like it is hiding the 599's flying buttresses.

I would tend to agree here... I think the maranello is a far better looking car than its replacement (the 599)...

How can you not like a car that you have never seen before?
