Being the owner of a 2012 California, and having received the slights and insults of many other Ferrari owners who have gone out of their way to inform me my car isn't really a Ferrari, that they would like to blow them all up or dump them all in the ocean, that my engine is from a Maserati, that the car's rear end is ugly, too high, too fat and to girly, my sole comfort has been that the FF has received a level of scorn far beyond that of the "lowly" Caifornia.

Now, the rendering seems to combines the California and the FF in one vehicle - I'm thinking that some heads would explode and vaporize when they see this hahaha

People also hated the side strikes on the TR and 348.

I understand your feeling, but I am deeply convinced that California`s bad perception is part of history now. Refreshed Cali brings new perspective for hardcore Ferrari owners. Its very pleasing car aesthetically and it has suitable engine (finally)! My render shows further possibilities for this model :)

Probably it would sell well, although IMO as a coupe it looks disproportionate, it needs longer wheel base and tail. As is, it would look better as a shooting break like the FF, but then I don´t know if it would sell so well.

Wheel base was reason why I`ve picked shooting brake as better solution. Big trunk door are great advantage in this case, while keeping sporty roof line!

Given your rendering does not seem to have a retractable top or cab, i would never consider it. i.e Panamera with a drop top would be a great car, but alas it does not.

It could offer panoramic roof, nothing more than that.

I do not beleive they will build it, as it takes away from the FF, and it does nothing for the Cali which is a drop top

Speaking of FF, when we could see some serious re-styling :)

As always Milano's renderings are interesting, provocative, and beautifully done.

If the rendering assumes the same dimensions as the new T, the rear seat passenger space would presumably be no larger than the still cramped T. If you wanted to create a fixed roof 2+2 with a lower trunk line, it would indeed be very attractive because the current design still has compromises due to the retractable top. But for a real 4-seater that retains head- and knee-room for the back seat, I would go back to the shooting brake and the FF type configuration.

Every serious driving enthusiast knows you have to give up something for performance. So a Ferrari can't ever be entirely practical or completely comfortable. That would be akin to being domesticated …tamed.
