Hi all, Have an upcoming allocation for the T - this site has been super helpful in educating me on options and timing of CarPlay - thank you. Was curious if anybody knew anything about the "US Visibility Equipment." It's in the configurator and on the pricing sheet at $10,630, but there is no explanation of what it is. Merely front and rear cameras combined? Or do they throw in adaptive lighting system or autodimming mirrors? Thanks in advance!
On the configurator it will not let you choose both AFS and the US package so I'm assuming you are correct in that it includes AFS ... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Front and rear cameras, adaptive lighting, and dimming mirrors. Basically all the "safety" stuff... From the Ordering Guide: VISIBILITY EQUIPMENT The car can be fitted with equipment regarding useful optional accessories to improve visibility and driving safety. The equipment includes the following content: • Front and rear parking cameras (Modis Code PAC3) • Inner and outer electrochromic rear view mirrors (Modis Code MIR2) • Adaptive frontlight system (Cos. Modis AFS1)
I just ordered one with the US Visibility Option. Cameras may cause a delay, or they might just simply be prewired for later dealer installation, but it is definitely in the order. Build date sometime in November... John
Your dealer should already know this but just a word of caution...if you order these three options seperately you'll pay the full price of each option and not get the discounted price of the Visibility pkg.
Perhaps my build is too early but I checked it off only to have Ferrari tell us that it is not an option on US cars ( perhaps yet. ) My build date is August.
My dealer had cars put in with this optioned and then overnight he randomly checked in MODIS and the option was no longer there... The magic of Ferrari
Right but they are debating to open for 2 weeks in August from what I heard ( Masi will be open.) I guess it is a July build that could spill over to August.
Derek, if Ferrari stays open in August as is Maserati, will the build dates move up? When do you feel the first Cali Ts will hit the USA?
Did you order the back up camera? If so was it kept on or dropped, Ferrari is stating no cameras for the first 3 months.
I asked them to find out and they were pretty sure it is wired but are checking. My 2012 was pre-wired as I added the backup camera after market.
Pretty sure you could add a back up camera for less than 3800 you could hire someone to sit in the car staring backwards
I don't expect Ferrari to stay open in August and the first California Ts (Dealer Demos) should begin to arrive in September with client ordered cars to follow in October at the earliest.
So all the people who are saying July - September are full of beans? I know my sheet states October 10 delivery, is that at the dealer ? Also what does MODIS mean ? Thank you for answering all these inane questions
Oct 10 delivery- is an estimated delivery time- when it is first inputted by dealer, by no mean an exact date of delivery MODIS is the system that Ferrari dealers use to order their new cars
