Here are 2 files where you can sample the sound of the California T being revved while in neutral. It actually sounds quite good.

One file is a QuickTime movie (MOV) and the other is a waveform audio (WAV) file. In the MOV file, one of the FNA reps is trying to drop the roof while revving the engine for me, and forgot to hold the roof operating button long enough to complete the cycle. The guy in the red shirt is seen pointing this out to him.

Sorry for the limited quality. The original from my iPhone 5s is actually 1080p and very good but way too big to upload to the forum.

Yes, it was loud, probably louder than the old car revved under the same conditions.… tricks that the factory can do. ;)

Hopefully it doesn't sound too augmented under load.

Pretty darned amazing! Different than the naturally aspirated sound, but very good nonetheless to my ears.

Last week my local dealer got his first car, and even though the car was in transport mode when I saw it (so limited to 3k rpm etc.) it sounded good. Louder and throatier than the old Cali.

So glad to hear it. That was my single biggest concern with the new car so very happy to hear this news. Now I can look forward to getting my new car with even greater anticipation! :)
