One of the cars I am considering has these seats. I would appreciate your input regarding whether you like it or not. I am thinking about resale down the road, and want to get a sense if this is a desired look or not. The car is resale red. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Initial impression was I liked it. I do not like the tan with the black stripes so much, but then I just loathe the tan. On second thought, I would probably just go with the solid black seats and keep the red prancing horse on the headrests. But, if you like it and want to keep the car, then by all means go for it. It is unique and attractive. Oh, I just barely see it also on the back seats. Makes the back have style versus boring. I like!! Just think if it will make you happy everyday when you get in the car to see those seats. I feel that way every time I slip into my Speciale's all leather racing seats with the tres colore stripe down the center. You need to love the mod. The Cali seats are all black for me and it is no event to see them. You have me rethinking.
I like Daytona seats with contrasting inserts, and I've seen black with grey inserts/contrast stitching look really sharp. But the black/red combination is a bit harsh for my taste, although I do like that better than beige/red inserts, which I have also seen coupled with red exterior.
My 2 cents...it's a little different, but not out there from a taste standpoint. Don't think it would be a significant resale issue. I wouldn't let it stop you if the rest of the car is a good fit.
Sure looks better than all black which would darken the interior too much. It's just not enough with only red stitching to save it from a german industrial look... My personal favourite would be black with grey inserts but red sure makes a good impression
Great! Thanks for your input. It is really helpful. Looks like mostly positive reactions, some negative At least there weren't any "WTF is that????"s. I may go for it if the stars line up.
Hahaha! Opinions will vary... It is not hideous, it is really sharp, so I don't think you have to worry about resale value, etc... It is very cool and if you like it, you should buy it! I prefer solid Daytona with deviant stitching and piping. That's what I currently have. I ordered the red with black stitching and piping for my Cali T. That's what I think! John
Love it. I have the same seats, but gray instead of read, which I don't like very much. But black on red looks very very nice.
I couldn't have said it better. Black seats with Red inserts looks great. Plain black is just that, plain.
Im very conservative, have a black California with tan daytona seats. A ferrari should "WOW" I wish now my car had that extra "bang" Love you seats- go for it! Don't be boring or play it safe.
I like it. It adds a sporting flair. Too many cars over do the interior accents IMO with seat belts, dashes, carpets, etc. I would own a car that had this, and I am quite conservative about these things.
I don't get getting daytona seats without contrasting inserts. I love the contrasting look. Dont like red inserts with tan seats. The red on black looks really sporty.
I like it too. I might also compare it to an interior decorating experience whereby when you walk from one room to another you feel transported into a completely different world. The details work together and the result is electric, making it an occasion to experience when you climb in.
