First-time buyer here. Spec'ing out my T! Hera are the options that I've zero'd in on: 1) Magnardie Dual mode shock absorber 2) Front grille with chrome edges 3) Red brakes 4) Scuderia shields on fenders 5) Headliner in leather 6) Daytona front and rear 7) Full electric seats 8) Embroidered prancing horse on headrest 9) Carbon fiber driving zone with LEDs steering wheel 10) Hi-fi premium sound system 11) Inner and outer electrochromatic rearview mirror and homelink 12) front and rear parking cameras 13) Foldable rear seats 14) heat-insulating windshield 15) drivers and passenger footrest in aluminum -- Any overall thoughts on the above?? Anything I'm wasting money on? Anything I'm missing? - One question I had was in regard to the sound system. The upgraded sound system costs over 6k.Is that really worth it? Would re-sale value be affected by that option? Thanks everyone! Really appreciate the feedback!
Perhaps you should do the VIEW, if you are doing 11, and 12 ? Not sure if you need/want a leather headliner? IMHO , i put take the money and buy CF, as a overall theme, nothing is great for resale, but your spec looks great !
Agree with Mitchell's comment... I have a similarly specced Cali T on order and I went with VIEW. I like everything you have except for me I decided against any chrome in the grill (full or edges) as I wanted a "sportier" look for my car and felt the black grill accomplished that. To each their own and you can't go wrong either way. Only thing that I think would "help" with resale is probably the Shields and full electric seats (maybe?)... everything else is preference. Congrats!
Keith, i am spending way too much time on these chats, i check all the time, its great therapy for me until my car comes, and then i must help others get thru this ordeal
bspoont, when you get your T please let me know if your standard sound system has the ability to save favorite songs/artists like the higher end system in my FF does.
its cathartic. meanwhile, my october allocation is still red 10 last week. dealer checking agian end of this week
Gotta agree with everyone saying you should go with View and I would also vote on losing the leather headliner. It looks great on a Spider or any non-convert, but in the Cali you're still stuck with the fabric material (that folds up) on either side of the interior roof. Also, the windshield frame comes so far back over your head you never see the interior of the roof. The Hi-Fi is a toss-up...I didn't get it in my first to F cars...the basic system is not great; this time I decided any improvement is worth the inflated price!
