my battery keeps dying and it's not practical to have the CTEK plugged in (it's a public garage at a second home).

Does the California have a battery switch similar to the 430 or 360? I know about the small lever on the negative terminal of the battery but is there something more practical?

    i just bought a california.
i have the exact same problem.
i plan to use the lever switch to shut off the battery.

i am also thinking of getting a conventional lead acid battery, leaving it IN the car and hooking up an inverter to power the charger.
every 2 or 3 months i would take the lead acid battery out of the car and charge it overnight.
