The surface of my 2010 Cali's reverse button needs a re-coating. Any suggestions, or is there a stick-on available, short of replacing the entire button?

Well, quite an exotic issue, isn't it?

I can feel your pain. One button can spoil everything ;-).
But half measures seem to be adequate for everything but Ferrari :)

Meanwhile, it could be easily done (a stick-on label) in any laser print/ laser cutter studio.

    And I like that console:

this is a chronic problem with ferrari. same issue on 458 and since at least the 360, if not earlier. yet they keep going with the same material and vendor year after year. hopefully someone can suggest a vendor with a simple fix

Yes I can fully agree. Great cars and such silly things happening.
At first I thought that it would be something different than infamous 'sticky buttons' issue, but you have said that it's the material issue again. What a pity.
I do like the interior of the Cali, but they should have changed the materials already.

    Best,

The common use buttons should have the print go through them. More expensive, yes, but a cure for wear. If my house door lock keypad can do it so can Ferrari.

Could you post a pic of your bad button? I've seen some truly nasty ones but am curious as to the condition most are in.

Have same problem. Let us know what solution u might find.

By the way, loving that carbon fibre centre console! 😍
Not familiar with it: is it a sticker or an actual customization from Ferrari?

Dealer has someone who specializes in removing the stickiness from plastic surfaces. That's about his only job. I don't know how he does it but your dealership should know

It has been a while since my last post.. A little update on sticky button's update...

Since I live far away from the producer of stickynomore product, I started experimenting to remove the stickyness using some household products ranging from glass cleaner, all in one cleaner, and wd40; all with marginal result. Finally, I tried using some dot3 brake fluid I had lying around in the garage and voila it wiped clean all the stickyness without any gum residue. And offcourse the final wipe was none other than glass cleaner to remove the oilly residue left by the brake fluid.

I will update again how things holding up after a month or so.

My own idea would be to replace the mechanical button with 3 round mini touch screens.

In that way the control could be seen at night too. Could also save a bit of weight.

I found a silicone holster that fit almost perfectly to the F-car key fob. I thought I share it here since the red paint on it is so soft.

It comes from a Mitsubishi's like this :

It doesn't fit like gloves but more like a condom:p
