My local Ferrari dealer is offering a lease on a 2014 Cali ... curious what you all think of the terms/cost.

2014 argento nurburgring with rosso interior
    Certified
    4700 miles
    quilted seats black stitching
    carbon driving zone + leds
    parking camera
    front rear sensors
    diamond 20" sport wheels

    Asking price is $205k.

    13 month lease
    $3299 month
3500 miles per year $1.75 per mile over
    Total payments $42,887
$1440 cap cost reduction plus $3300 security deposit
    Purchase at end $162k

I am thinking of looking for a preowned California, and while this one does not quite meet the options I am looking for, I'm wondering what you folks think of the numbers as opposed to just buying and driving.

I leased the exact same car, but did it for 60 months. My payments were over 1K less, same mileage allowance, etc. I was nervous about the 60 months, but when I went to sell it to order my new Cali T, I sold it for pretty close to the purchase price after 12 months. So cost of ownership was fairly reasonable, or as reasonable as owning a 200K + car can be. I'd check into a longer lease.

    i love the car.
personally, i am not a fan of leases.
i would pay cash for the car.
    offer $200K
figure it will then depreciate around $15-20K/year.

I presume it is an open ended lease rather than a no risk close ended lease?

Thanks for the input. Close ended lease, presumably (they are stating option to buy the car at the end). They do have another 2014 car that is closer to the specs I am looking for, but as I am debating between buying a more recent Cali 30 vs. say, a 2011 for significantly less, the potential depreciation seems to be steeper on a 13 or 14, at least initially.

No comment on the numbers but the car looks sweet.

    I am just wondering:
It is a Cali from 2012, right ? Not the new T model ?!

I was like you originally looking for a preowned one.
I had a used one as an alternative offer at 140,000 USD (2013 and 15k miles)
And this is about the max price I would recommend to pay on the older series right now.
If you have more to spend, get a new model ?

I must miss something as I just bought a brand new Cali T (they had a few pre/configured to choose from) lower than your preowned lease price.

The Ferrari dealers in Germany do not list their new cars in online registries, they only list used ones.
