When I turn the key on my 2013 I see the check display for half a second but then it's obscured by the light sensitivity display which disappears once the car is started. Does anyone know how to get rid of the light sensitivity screen?

The only way I've found is to turn the lights off of the auto setting on the dial.

It seems my car decided to change its behavior just out of spite. I am now getting the "check ok" on startup even with the lights on auto. Only change I did was to hit the mode button once to change from range to mileage. Go figure.

Gotta love the cars with unpredictable personalities, definitely not German.

Turning it off Auto stopped it on my car, but it's still returning. Guess I'll have to put the headlights on manually ... the horror!

    Thanks.
