This was on the driver's side floor this morning. Any idea where it came from, where it goes, and how/why it came loose? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Show it to Dave, it looks like it has a Cavalino on it? If So the complete Cavalino count is null and void
Looks similar to the "button screws" (I just made that name up) in my Quattroporte that hold the access panel on for the fuses and OBD II port. It's a longshot but that's my guess.
Also, does anyone know the material used to construct the California's central bridge? Is it a solid piece of metal?
Thanks, Ron! Any clue about the screw in my first post? I found another one, so now there are two - and I still don't know the location of any access panel.
Carbon, I believe your loose screws probably belong to a plastic panel under the lower dashboard cover just above the left foot dead pedal, in the driver's footwell. Here are a couple of photos I just took. You'll see that my car is missing one of the screws - probably left out after a service procedure. I've played with the remaining screw and it appears to hold up the plastic panel. In the second photo you'll see the ODB2 socket for the diagnostic tool, to the right of the remaining screw. BTW, is your Cali a pre-2013 Cali by any chance? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bingo! I love it when I'm right. :^) Sorry I didn't come back to this thread to help you locate the panel position but 4th_gear did a terrific job.
Important question! Are there 2 screw heads with Cavallinos? Also, is this a California T? I'm out of town until Friday so I'm flying blind on the official Cavallino Count! Careers are at stake!
David, I feel you should stop dancing around the fact that the Cavalino Count is Flawed. YOU have failed to remove all the floor boards, moldings, and other body parts which evidently are concealing Cavalinos. I feel that the Cavalino count should be referred to as VISABLE Cavalino with the naked eye. I am so sad about the count, however living in Florida where we have NEVER had an election where the count is correct, I am accustomed to it. This is a true case of the hanging chad, a epic fail.
Mitchell, please see post #942 in My 12 Month California T Odyssey, for the header text... Funny, it WAS a hanging chad (screw) until it fell on his floor...
Keith, we must keep David in line. Since he became head of the Cavalino Accounting, he is out of control !
134828, What model year is the California you have with the two found Cavallini screws? I'm holding off my Cavallino Counter Powers of Subpoena for now. Please let me know.
