Are the new T brake lights the same as the older california? (Ones on trunk moving part aren't used as brake lights). Thanks.
Thanks. I knew why was just hoping they found a solution. We have an almost irrational dislike for this as it just appears to be such a screw up from the beginning regarding US regulations. I'm sure amazing car but we truly can't get over the rear lights. (Wife was briefly debating having two 4-seat v8s 30 years apart).
The brake light issue will get you a yell out the window of "Hey Buddy, your brake lights are out" about twice a year. I know, with over 50,000 miles in Cali's since 2009.
Audi's Q5 and Q7 (SUVs) have the brake lights on the rear hatch, and if the rear hatch is open the rear foglights light up as the brake lights.
I just got a new Cali T and I thought there was something wrong with the lights. I guess the norm is strange!
