Quickly threw some P101's on a new Ferrari California T just for fun ;)

Don’t worry, a full shoot is coming up soon after some additional goodies are added. Novitec Springs and an ECU Tune are in the plans so while we wait for that to come to fruition gawk at these simple images for some time.

Jurrian, the HRE wheels look amazing but it would be even better if you could also post the weights of the various wheel styles and sizes. ;)

I could certainly do that! I would need to know the diameter/width (if unsure on width, at least the diameter), and the style wheel you would like. You could post that up here if you'd like or send me a PM, whatever works best for you.

I having decided that Cali is the way to go for us.. can you please share the price list with me regarding all the wheels etc. I am thinking of staying with stock Cali wheels and putting winters on those for the off days I want to take it out - summers would be something from up above :)

I apologize Jurrian, I've been very busy over the last few days.

The HRE wheels I've been exploring are the RS100M, 300, 303, S104 and S200 in:

    20 x 9
    20 x 9.5
    21 x 9
    21 x 9.5
    21 x 12
    21 x 12.5

... if these sizes make sense for the Cali. Thanks for your help with the wheel weights!

The weights that I have are approximate because they are dependent on the offset that you. This is everything that I could possibly get for you. To make it easier I bundled the 300 with the 303 (monoblock weight)

    Classic 300M/303M (similar weight)
    20 x 9 - 23.50lbs
    20 x 9.5 - XX
    21 x 9 - 24.80lbs
    21 x 9.5 - 24.60lbs
    21 x 12 - XX
    21 x 12.5 - 26.50lbs

    S1 Series
    20 x 9 - 26.00lbs
    20 x 9.5 - 25.50lbs
    21 x 9 - 27.80lbs
    21 x 9.5 - 28.50lbs
    21 x 12 - 31.50lbs
    21 x 12.5 - 30.40lbs

RS100 (Don't have monoblock weight, so these 3-piece weights are going to be skewed higher than the monoblock)
    20 x 9 - 26.50lbs
    20 x 9.5 - 25.20lbs
    21 x 9 - 27.00lbs
    21 x 9.5 - 28.50lbs
    21 x 12 - 30.60lbs
    21 x 12.5 - 28.00lbs

The ones marked XX you'll have to fill in the blanks, since I don't have those weights in the system as saved. So as you can see the weight's are in ascending order of most lightweight to least, and that's because of the offsets which can increase weight of course if the backpad is larger to accommodate a lower offset.

S2 series wheels started production a few weeks ago so weights haven't been recorded officially yet, but they're going to be slightly heavier than the S1 series since the S2 is extremely complex compared to the previous wheels we have produced, which can increase the weight of the centers we machine.

Hopefully though this gives you a bit more information on the weights, but if your concern is loosing weight as much as possible, then I would throw in the idea of considering the P101 which trumps all:

    HRE P101
    20 x 9 - 20.20lbs
    20 x 9.5 - 20.50lbs
    21 x 9 - 22.50lbs
    21 x 9.5 - 22.00lbs
    21 x 12 - 24.80lbs
    21 x 12.5 - 24.00lbs

    Hope that's helped out!

Thanks Jurrian! I'm essentially looking to balance an interesting look of an aftemarket rim against its weight. I've also asked my dealer to weigh my OE wheels when my car is in for annual service (soon). So hopefully, I can make an informed choice when I buy my Summer wheels but I'm encouraged by the weights you've given for some of these wheels.

I like the classic retro look of the Cali and I've opted for more "fussy-looking" wheel designs incorporating more visual details so 3-piece rims go along with that idea... why I prefer the 300/303 over the 300M/303M. It's like the Bimmers from the 80s and 90s where 3-piece rims with titanium bolts look really sporty and cool, so long as they aren't too heavy. 3-piece rims also allow for different finish and colour on the center/spokes vs. the flange vs. the outer rim. Monoblocks tend to look too "streamline or modern" on the Cali unless they incorporate a lot of desirable detail.

The P1 series appears to be a performance design series that provides the lowest weight but I already plan power upgrades to my car and I also don't track so absolute maximum performance is not a primary concern when I take my car on the back roads. I just don't want to make my car "slower" than its OE setup!

I will likely try to fill the wheel wells a bit with some spacers or with some negative offset, so long as the tires don't rub or bump the wheel well flanges.

Would you have weights for the 3-piece 300 and 303 sizes too? Thanks again!

I'm limited on the 3-piece weight for some reason, but to give you an idea, 20x9.5 I have at 26.00lbs, 20x10 I have 26.60lbs, and 20x11 I have at 27.20lbs. The 3 piece wheels will always be heavier of course, but that's what I have listed currently for those wheels, so hopefully that gives you a bit more info on the 3 piece versions.

I wanted to do a 3-piece Step Lip on our California T however our S204's showed up right after we sold our car. I think you are right though a 3 piece step lip look would be the way to go!

Give us a call, we would be more than happy to help!

Those are actually quite reasonable weights for 3-piece rims of such sizes. Thanks again for your help!
