Just announced today. Stiffer springs (16% front, 19% back), faster-reacting magnetorheological dampers, and sportier calibration for the transmission and chassis controls. There's also a new exhaust system, promising "an exhaust note that increases progressively as engine speed increases, with a sound in keeping with the car's more sporty character," as Ferrari puts it. Ride comfort said to suffer a little bit.

Ferrari Gives the California T a "Good Handling" Option

Does it come standard or is it an add on that has to be ordered? Guessing it has to be ordered, wonder what the lead time is.

Cool, I thought it was great in stock form handling wise .. but the exhaust definitely needed help (IMHO) glad Ferrari answered. Ironically you will now have to pay EXTRA to "fix" it ?!?

Gotta love the optional "sport exhaust" on a sports car. What is standard, the "not sport exhaust"?

Will be shown at the Geneva show.
From the announcement could not tell if the exhaust change is purely software.

I wonder if this will be offered to current Cali T owners? Back in the day couldn't 599 owners upgrade to the HGTE package after the fact?

Yup, most likely will. There were kits to upgrade the 575M to HGTC specs and for the 599 to HGTE specs.

I do not believe the official word that the kits cannot be retrofitted. They are doing the same things they have done in the past, and they offered kits then. Not too tough to change springs, rear anti-roll bar, suspension settings, and flash or change TCU and shock absorber ECU.

More likely the official word is, no, there will not be a kit so I can sell you a new California T with the package now. When the kit comes out, sorry about that.

It's cool they offer it, but I wouldn't want it for my Cali t. Was at the dealer last week and they got shipped from Ferrari a new sports exhaust for the Cali t. Haven't heard it yet, but it's around $6K. Again, I'm happy it's out there as an option but I love the way my car is stock.

Motortrend is testing one right now... they keep posting pics of the car on their Instagram account. I haven't seen any official reviews yet, however.
