They are 19s, which are not preferred ... most people like the 20s. Just guessing but one on the top looks like it might have the diamond finish, which is a brighter more polished look. Never seen the lines before on the painted rim but I suppose it's possible.

I have a nice set of takeoff factory forged 20s that I just asked a question regarding the diamond finish on, they will likely be available shortly if you are looking for a set. Great looking rim on the Cali 30.

Definitely good looking 20" you have there. Of course, I'm looking at 19" due to worry for poor road condition.

BTW, the weight rating on both 19" and 20" should be able to handle even the heaviest Fcar, ie FF, right?

Would like to swap out the 20" for 19" due to frequent right front wheel damage from pothole. Doing so changes sidewall ratio from 35 to 40, thus adding additional "meat" to cushion the impact.

vjd3 - What widths are those 20's you may sell? My wife wants a California and I'm close to pulling the trigger on it as soon as I get the PPI results.
    Cheers!

It would be, right?! Maybe that's why those huge bling rims are so popular in the hood because they will just roll right over the potholes without falling into them.

John, they are 8 X 20 and 10 x 20 -- stock size. Part numbers are 287647 and 287648. On my window sticker they are called "20" sport forged diamond rims" and were a $7709 option in 2013. They look great on the car. These are takeoffs in excellent condition, not the rims that are on the car in the photo, although they are the same rims.

You can actually get 4 mm MORE sidewall protection with a 255x40/20 tire on your current 20" rim than with the standard 245x40/19 tire on a new 19" rim and 16 mm more sidewall than your 245x35/20 tires. Michelin PSS come in 255x40/20.

The resulting front wheel will also fill out the big gaping wheel well a little better and stick out 5 mm more from the fenders, looking a lot better than stock. The most significant handling change might be the cornering feel, which will experience 5 mm of negative scrub. This will add a bit more weight to the steering and potentially increase understeer but depending on the effects of the tire tread/compound, may be cancelled out by the wider tire section (255) which tends to dial in oversteer. The overall handling will also be affected by the tire you choose for the rear wheel.

Please be aware that while my advice may be correct I don't want to offer "expert" advice on your wheel/tire purchase and I just want to let you know there are other factors involved in obtaining better sidewall protection. You need to do your own research before deciding.

I suggest you consult a good aftermarket rim and tire shop that has a lot of experience with custom wheel setups.
