Just noticed that FOS reduced the price on their 2010 blue Cali (8k miles) by $28,000 to just $90,000. This car is supposedly on consignment. Owner must need money NOW?

This is the first sub $100ki Cali I've seen.

They've reduced the prices on many of their inventory by large amounts. Looks like they are tired of being a car museum and decided to actually sell cars:).

    1. The dealer didn't buy it...
    2. The dealer doesn't have a customer for it at that price,… thus it is advertised...
    3. Car looks nice, but could there be some history…
    4. Regardless,… The market is speaking.

they also have a 2003 360 coupe with a 6 speed that got a price reduction of $53k to just $71k. Makes me wonder if their site got hacked??

I just called and spoke to sales and they were completely unaware of what their site is showing - so it looks like hacked indeed. I'll have to mop up the drool :)

If anyone wants to hack the price of that tasty manual 456M by tens of thousands of dollars, that'd be sweet!

that's crazy, wonder what happened with their site. would seem odd that a "hacker" would take the time to change prices for a few cars at a random Ferrari dealership?

and here I was running around looking for money under couch cushions, those were some sweet deals

just looked at their site, every used car now says "call for price"

bet they had a pretty serious freak out once they became aware of this

It would be interesting to go to the dealer with your lawyer in tow and a paper copy of the add with the price and say "I'll buy it" and have a check in hand stating they have to honor the price. Would be a good case for Judge Judy :)

I hate to think what list I'm on with FOS. Probably the "pain in the butt" list as I'm always wanting a used car for less than the asking price :) I'm comfortable, but will never be in a position to buy a new car let alone a limited edition Ferrari.

Well we can all relax now. The prices have been restored to their fair market levels plus 5-10% for the dealer......

That was me! Young scientist in training that I was, I deduced it before my similarly aged siblings and cousins. I was, however, threatened to keep my yap shut under pain of additional chores lest I spill the beans! :)

Would you buy a Cali or spend the extra $50-$60K +/- to get the Cali T (preowned). I looking to trade in my SL for my first Ferrari. I live in So Cal near the beach and love driving with the top down.

Any suggestion you have would be appreciated.

How long do you plan on owning it? If not for long, I'd factor in cars that will re-sell well - mileage, age, condition, color, etc. If it's a forever car, then I think you have more latitude. Me personally, if GT-style beach cruising was the plan, I'd go for an older Cali 30 with CPO and drive the living heck out it. Good luck in the hunt.

i am in the same postion in buying a Cal and trying to decide to step up or buy a great car at the lower end and wait for the market to firm or get softer. None of us know...it could be that it might drop and then firm or firm sooner or just drop.

I love these cars, they are so much better than their rep around many Ferrari aficionado's. I understand the 2012, 13 and then 15 give you more at each level...thoughts?

I think I would weigh the extra performance versus the depreciation on the various years. Even if the percentage of depreciation is the same, starting with a $180k versus starting with a $140k or $120k car translates to significant money, so if you are happy enough with the performance on the earlier car, that's a factor. Warranty is always a wild card, of course. And whether the California comes to an end in 2018 and what the rumored replacement car will be.
