348 Challenge preparation

this was the first 348 challenge car in Canada, the car ran in the 1994 season. It then ran in the magana series in 1995. We are in the process of returning the car to the 1994 spec.

the car has it original paint which is in excellent condition

it needs to be serviced and prepared for the track.

the car was was running fine but in need of a major service and a good detailing

the seat still have the original insignia's but the material is faded. Omp was of no help and we are presently waiting on material samples

Post your need of seats recovering in the 348 section. There are some guys there who have reconditioned those old seats to look new. I would not race those old seats by the way.

I have some material coming, we'll see what shows up.

I think the seat are fine for track day use, and I want to keep the car as near original as possible.

even the engine will remain stock as raced in 94

in the wrong position if that is an Aqueous based bottle! FB's should be mounted horizontal because there is a flop tube inside. If you ever go upsidedown you will have by the looks of it maybe 50% of the fluid. If it is halon then OK. 348C bottles were chrome from OMP since you are after original. I have the original Ferrari 1994 yellow challenge book in excellent condition which would make a nice addition for concourse if you ever decided to show the car as well as track it.

that bottle was removed when the car ran in the magna series.

the original owners is looking for it in his garage.

I may just buy a new omp fire system that looks similar

battery tray, this was an early car with rear battery

since the car is apart we will perform a mini restortation and repair many of the issues (surface rust)

after twenty years of service the rads will be retired

caught a bad fuel line before it broke

the previous service shop installed this line and the fitting was cracked, if it failed the car would have burned to the ground
