Did you guys run into any problems having to see where FIA was going to finally put the Austin F1 race (now 11/2/2014) ?
Any special licence required to run the CCR? I have been tracking (DE) for the last 2.5 years and hope to jump into some type of racing for 2014. Where do we start for rookies entering the CCR? Ciao, SRR
A competition license is required to race in CCR, but you can attend CCR events in certain practice run groups that are generally set aside at CCR events. CCR has a training program for the license. At each event there will be run groups when a rookie can go through training with a professional coach. (Basically a private racing school course. ) When you have enough training sessions (depends on the individual) you can apply for the license. CCR has been sanctioned by HSR and so you may download a license application. You can begin practicing at CCR events by registering for the series at Challenge Club Racing. Our first event will be at COTA on March 1-2. For. More info contact [email protected] We would be thrilled to have a new 355C driver. One CCR's objectives next year is to strengthen our 355 class. We are putting together a fantastic incentive program for 355 to assist with tire costs for the season. We would be happy to help you through the process. All that is required is careful and safe driving and a love for racing Ferraris.
We are still working very hard to finalize the schedule. We are trying to balance getting this published early with getting the best schedule. Negotiations continue but here is where we are: 1) March 1-2 COTA 2) April 10-11 Daytona 3) May 15-16 Sebring 4) July 26-27 NJMP 5) August 29-30, Watkins Glenn* 6) Finale, October, TBD** Racers can drop one round. (Each weekend will consist of two races. Only ten races count towards points. There will be two races that can be dropped, meaning you can skip one round.) *the Glenn is still tentative. We are negotiating with the Empire Region of the FCA to secure sufficient track time with CCR run groups. **we have a very exciting option for the finale. The deal is not done yet, but hopefully will be soon. We will also publish a calendar for Abarth (several will be paired with the existing Ferrari calendar) which will include the GP of Houston, June 27-29. We will have a full season We hope to have this finalized this week, and be open for registration.
