December 30,2013 PRESS RELEASE CCR's mission is to provide the premier venue for Historic Ferrari Challenge racing. As such CCR is pleased to present original period sponsor, OMP as CCR's sponsor for 2014-2015. OMP was the historical OME supplier of racing apparel and safety equipment, (seats and fire suppression systems) for the 348, 355, and 360 historic Challenge cars. OMP is back as a major sponsor and supplier to the Historic Ferrari challenge racing. All OMP products will be provided to CCR drivers at a significant discount, including fire suppression systems, seats, and belts to update any expired OME safety systems on all challenge cars. OMP will replace MOMO as CCR's official suit, apparel and equipment supplier. OMP will supply a top of the line, high tech, ultra-light custom made racing suit, shoes, gloves, and racing gear bag to each entrant to the 2014 season. Most OMP fire suppression systems on 348, 355, 360, and 430 are expired or out of date. CCR has experienced a series of failures of the systems. CCR officials will be checking these systems for compliance at COTA. For a limited time and supply, OMP will be supplying top of the line replacement systems (including bottles and electronic boxes). The top of the line system is $850. For a limited time, OMP will be supplying these directly to the teams at a delivered price of $550. To ensure compliance it is highly recommended that these systems be ordered and replaced before the season opener at COTA. Challenge cars must run in original stock factory configuration (with a few approved changes), and the rules of the series follow the original format for which the cars were designed. The series differs from the original factory series insofar as it strictly forbids car to car contact and values the preservation of these historic machines above pure competition. Although in no way affiliated or endorsed by Ferrari FNA and Ferrari S.P.A the series was designed to complement and not compete with the current factory series. The series provides an entry level platform for participants who may wish to gain experience and then move to the more competitive 458 Ferrari Challenge. The series provides the exclusive venue for the Historic Ferrari Challenge racing in a low pressure environment under rules that mitigate the costs and risks associated with car damage. ...
