I have gone through the race records and it appears the '98 records on the file starts in the middle of the season. So I'll try to add any missing results from that season when they arrive from the original mechanic next week.

Thanks again. Great to see the full '99 season and discovered my car ran in one race in 2000 with the original owner - taking a break from his 360.

The car also ran in 2001... Feeling good about this new info. Thank you again.

Here are the venues and dates covered in the 1998 Ferrari Challenge - North American Season:

    Homestead, Florida - April 25-26, 1998
Texas World Speedway, College Station, Texas - May 9-10, 1998
    Montreal, Quebec, Canada - June 5-7, 1998
    Lime Rock, Connectiut - June 26-27, 1998
    Road Atlanta, Georgia - August 1-2, 1998
Pikes Peak International Raceway, Colorado - September 9-10, 1998
    Imola International Race - November 7-8, 1998

6 races in the North America that year. The results that Jeff posted included three of those races - Lime Rock, Atlanta, and Pikes Peak in Colorado.

For Homestead, here is an article that you can cut and paste:

Papadopoulos, Cox, Rangos sweep Florida Ferrari Races Homestead, Fla., April 26. Tom Papadopoulos of Forest Hills, NY, and Chris Cox each won two races here in the first event of the 1998 Ferrari Challenge, for ...

Papadopoulos, Cox, Rangos sweep Florida Ferrari Races Homestead, Fla., April 26. Tom Papadopoulos of Forest Hills, NY, and Chris Cox each won two races here in the first event of the 1998 Ferrari Challenge, for owners of Ferrari sports cars. Alex Rangos took top honors in the one hour endurance race.

Papadopoulos, driving a Ferrari prepared by Wide World of Cars, won both 13 lap 355 Challenge races on the 2.21 mile track here. He was joined on the podium in the first race by Dr. Steve Earle, Garden City, Texas and Jim McCormick. In the second race Earle again finished second, but this time Ugo Colombo, Miami, Fla., took third place honors. All 21 starters were driving identical Ferrari 355s prepared and maintained by authorized Ferrari dealers. The cars have minimum modifications for racing, such as roll bars and racing seats and harnesses for safety. The engines are standard Ferrari 355 V-8s.

For the first time in the Ferrari Challenge series, which has been run in North America since 1994, drivers were offered the opportunity to compete in a longer, "endurance" race for Ferrari 355s. Fourteen cars started the one hour race, which was won by Alex Rangos. Chris Cox finished second and Jim McCormick third. Both series are sponsored by Asprey, Perugina, and Saima Avundaro, and are organized by Ferrari North America.

The next event in the Ferrari Challenge will be held at Texas World Speedway, College Station, Texas, on May 9-10. The historic Ferraris will next race at Lime Rock Park, Connecticut, on June 26-27.

Here are the results for the Canadian race that Erik has previously posted:

SO we still need "detailed" race results on Homestead and Texas Speedway for 1998.

Maybe Dr Earle could chime in with what we are missing. Otherwise, hopefully I will get those next week.

Wow, what great memories scanning through those results pages! I was surprised to see a 348 pictured on one of the 1997 pages - weren't they all phased out by then?

And I remember the '98 Enduro at Lime Rock very well. I was crew on Jim Kenton's car, and still have the big champagne bottle from that win (and a Pirelli podium hat he gave me)!

    Cool stuff.....

Thank you Jeff! In one post you have given us what I thought was going to take forever to find out. It really helps to build the file on my car and I appreciate you sharing. My car was campaigned by Jong Wha Kim in 98-99 and then I believe by Jay Wilton in 2000. I have repair and prep receipts from a Ferrari Dealership in Jay's name. I still find it cool my car raced in Imola. Would be a dream to have shipped back there some day.
