I think (not sure) this car has been offered to me 1,5 years ago by the Owner. Great looking Car, and was driven (manuall Gearshift ACO Version!!) by the unforgetable Allan Simmonsen. This Car has a special history and place in the 458 Heritage. thank you for the Videos snd the Information, didn't know the Car is with SC now
Team West Alex Job Racing bought it and used it only in 2013 Car was not used in 2012 and 2014. IIRC the car was kept in storage at Michelotto between LM2015 and LM2016
Scuderia Corsa | Scuderia Corsa Triumphs at Le Mans One of the best 458GTs! Won VLN Nürburging race, did 24 Hours of Nürburgring, Le Mans with late Alan Simonsen in 2011, ELMS in 2011, Le Mans 2015 3rd AM and Le Mans 2016 1st AM. Is there any other 458GT with LM AND NÜRBURGRING history? NO. Not very likely these cars will race WEC or IMSA in 2017. Sadly , the end of an era with NA ferrari engines in GTLM?
Cool backstory regarding this chassis number's win in GTE Am at LeMans this year. Untold story: How Le Mans-winning Ferrari's glory almost got away

And 2874 AF Corse would be worth much less LOL Severely burnt, new chassis built...? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxwedg93CBg Image Unavailable, Please Login
No new Chassis, it looks much more dramatic than it actually was. It's in the nature of a racecar to get damaged sometimes ) Car did LM AM Pole and full WEC the year after
I checked and this car was offered to me in 2014 from West Racing. and yes, the 458 GTE/2 will not anymore seen in 2017. WEC and LM Series in 2017 only 488 GTE will be used.
Prices will drop. Many cars to be sold off. If you can afford one, buy one and keep a while and sell with profit in 5-10 years. But look at 575GTC still no premium (2003/2004 750k€ new) V12 car and not a V8
the 575 was a Desaster, the car won 1 international race and 2 of the italian gt. what do you want with a car which has no history and cant even be used for any race or even to complicate for track days, difficult to get parts and service. the 458 GTE won more than 100 races and several Championships. the 458 is the most succesfull GT race car in ferraris history and fantastic to drive. I have done about 10K miles with mine already. its always a question what you want to do with the car. collecting? then the history is everything. race? than history doesnt matter, just get the latest spec and overall condition counts. if you just want to do track days occasionally maybe a bit of both could be nice. I doubt that "many" cars will come to the market. I know maybe 1 or 2. all the current WEC AM Cars are already sold and all the other owners I know dont want to sell the car. 40 have been built, about 10-12 used as official works cars #51 and #71. we will not seen 30 cars advertised.
RAM offered 2 (now sold) ESM offered 2 (sold one??) Dutch team VEKA sold theirs. I have a complete list and think 5-10 will be offered for sure (maybe not by a broker/dealer though) 458GT is indeed a multiple race winning car (as is the GT3) 488GTE will be built in much less numbers.
i now the RAM Cars, I raced against them last weekend! both owners are happy and want to keep them. ESM I know one is sold but believe both are now sold. VEKA Car was not 100% "real" GT2 car as he had the open engine and ABS (and no big race history) if I'm not mistaken, at least the car I saw in italy. a very fast and fantastic car, I was close to buy it. with a total build of 40 458 GTE Cars ,always some cars are popping up for sale but I dont think we will see that the market get over flooded with cars. all of the other private owners I know are not in the need for sale their cars. I will keep mine as well but if I get the offer I can't refuse.... we never know as I will move to the 488GT3 in 2017. the 488 GTE Version will be build in less than 5 cars a year but you can "easy" upgrade the GT3 to the GTE Version and vice versa so in the future it will be difficult to know if the car was born as a real GTE Car or converted later. C.M. explained to me that he can decide during the built of the car if he wants to get the GTE or GT3 Version at the end. the 488GT3 is very close to the 458 GTE from the "feeling" of driving. This is what I was told as I havent tested the 488 yet. also (unfortunately) 488 GT3 running costs are close to the 458 GTE.
