Oh, oh, thats really not the same, Kessel and AF Corse!

What is the history of this car???

Great looking part, but far away from a real works car with big history like WEC, Le Mans, etc.,...

This is also the point why the price is "low" for this one.

 

@tomgt, sorry, only AF Corse is the Ferrari works Team, no Kessel!!!
Michelotto workes with them, but who runs the #71 and #51 Cars? ;-)

 

Let's clear the issue:

In WEC, GTE Pro category there are 2 Works Ferraris. These are the 51 and the 71. The cars are run by AF Corse. Naturally, Michelotto is present as he is with any GTE / GT3 car that races as they are built by him.

The yellow Kessel car that is for sale had its moment in the sun in 2014 at the ELMS race at imola where Matteo Cressoni put ir on pole with a 1'39" lap (Michelin tyres, of course). He partnered with Thomas Kemenater and they finished 2nd in the race.

I seem to recall that the car is in either 2012 or 2013 spec.

As to the price, probably a little on the high side. But it also depends what you end up wanting to do with it

Would other AF Corse entries be considered as factory entries? For example the Blancpain cars or the WEC Am car? Or are these seen as "factory assisted"?

 

You can see it also with the big Ferrari Sponsors on the #51 and #71 cars, UPS, HUBLOT etc.,...

RISI is a supported Team (with the Drivers Fisiko and Vilander) in IMSA and this year at Le Mans .

 

Ferrari bring support to all teams along with Michelotto. Ferrari also have many drivers that they place. The works cars are 51 and 71 and run in the WEC
