Chicago Region events 2017

Time to start the 2017 events thread. Here is the Fuelfed events calendar from January-April 2017 and the Road America race schedule for 2017. Also the 2017 Chicago Auto Show link.

The Nation's Largest Auto Show - Media | Chicago Auto Show 2016

The Ferrari Expo date is wrong and should read March 25th 2017.

Rise & Drive have not posted their 2017 events calendar yet.

The Auto show is only a month away, and you can go see that new Alfa truck

The Fuelfed event in early March is always good.

Fuelfed events schedule and a few photos from last years events. That Lancia 037 and Stratos are very nice. So we have atleast 3 BMW M1's in the Chicago area.

Corrected Ferrari Literature, Art and Model Expo date.

Annual Fuelfed swap meet at The Last Detail.....

Also sad news. I posted several pictures that show the cars owned by the gentleman standing next to the bright red Lancia Stratos. I know some of you knew Peter well, I only talked to him a few times and he really knew his cars, especially when it came to Group B FIA rally cars. He will be missed by the Chicago collector car community.

I read about it. I am so sad. He was such a warm person. And his kids are still so young. Really sad.

I blew off the Cavallino in WPB due to the political problems it is having. It looks a lot smaller this year than any other year.

Here is the email I received from Hugh about Ferrari Expo this year:

.................................................. .................................................. ..........................

Continental Auto sports has offered to host the 2017 Ferrari Literature, Art and Model Expo once again, this will be the 39th year for this event.

The model contest will continue. Contact Tom Tanner if interested in having your model judged.

Last year was a total success with all the tables being Sold Out and we even had a waiting list for tables.

Check your calendars and make your table reservation early. Do not wait until March 20th. The dead line is March 7th, as we have already had numerous requests for tables.

Please feel free to pass along my contact information to your friends who might be interested in setting up a display .

Thank you for your interest and consideration.

Hugh Ruthven

Continental Autosports has a few great vintage cars at their dealer now. Several most likely will be there for the Expo in March....

Thank you for posting Tom!

While I have lived in Chicago for three years, I am finally hoping to be a little more active in the car scene! Jobs and house hunting has kept me away from most of the events save a couple of races at Road America. It is because of your posts from last year I know which events to put on the calendar for this year!

Thank you again and hope to meet any of you guys at these events!

Hope you make it to many of the events...

This Saturday is the first big event run by the Ferrari Club Chicago chapter, the literature and art/model show. Always a great time to meet the regions hardcore sportscar collectors with many Ferrari's always also on display. Thanks to Continental Autosports for turning over their Ferrari dealer to the inmates every year

They are available from Rob Lay. I could offer you one of the many I have, but they're all used.
