Well, I am sure many of you have at least a pen and ink drawing in a drawer and others own collections, so please, share your art!!! _J
Made this a while ago, used regular pencil, red, blue, and green pens Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great thread! Hope more people chime in a show us off their craftsmanship. Personally I do a lot of visual arts stuff, mostly photography ( thats what I'm best at IMO), but also large paintings, working on a 17x7 foot canvas splatter painting right now. Working on a screenplay (30 pages in right now), and I hope to make that into a film with some money my step mum left me. Also, I sketch a bit in journals from time to time, bit of clay work, painted a couch in zebra stripes, even painted with a bloody nose once! Anyway, you probably want to see some pictures, but I'm afraid I don't have much space on here, so I'll upload some of them to deviant art. www.zahiba.deviantart.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello, I believe that displaying artwork is a great way to meet talented people and show others your own abilities. I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, and I feel blessed every day to have the skills that I was born with. Below I've attached a few of my favorite drawings. The first is a sketch composition for a wall mural in Ocean City, MD. The client wanted a beach scene with palm trees and flamingos, so I found an old picture I had taken and printed in on a sheet of paper. Then using pen and pastels, I added the trees, hills, flamingos, and other elements to show what the final mural would look like. The dark spot on the blinds was from a spill, and the mural has been up for a few months, i'll post pics when i locate them. The last 2 are sketches of a boat I would like to build one day. The first sketch was done freehand with a ballpoint pen, and the composition below the sketch was done in photoshop. I scanned all my original pen sketches (i have almost 100) and chose the ones I wanted to display, then using a tablet I added color and contrast to complete the page. Hope you enjoy ! -Zack Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have a number of pieces by this man 2 watercolors 2 pen and inks 1 very, very, very large diptych in oil and glaze. Sfumato, indeed. The photos don't do justice http://www.shaneguffogg.com/
Nice work everyone. It's great to stay connected as artists for motivation. I really miss the creative atmosphere you find in school or at a large firm. Working solo has it's advantages but it can be too isolating. wow that is really awesome stuff. The amount of emotion and energy in your drawings is incredible. I especially love how the strokes evoke a feeling of movement and speed. I think i've seen some of your work in the product design forums?
Anthony - I am thoroughly and happily impressed. The wooden buck isn't just a nice touch... practically an epiphany. I could go on with 1000 words, but, why would spoil such pictures that do all the talking to all that view them?
Anthony, Beautiful dimensional piece on the Testa Rossa..........jusy amazing!....Are you an Art Center Alum?
Thanks so much for the compliments. They are sincerely appreciated and really get me fired up to do some more work, economy be damned! You might have seen some of my design on a few forums Digitec. I used to go to Car Design News and Concept art.org often. I haven't posted much new work since most of my sidejobs in design have NDA's and I can't show anything. I'm glad you liked my sculpture Wax. It was a lot of fun to try and capture the essence of Ferrari and coachbuilding n a non literal way. Thank you Bushwhacker. I have been an admirer of your work as well. Unfortunately I went to the Cleveland Inst. of Art instead of ACCD. In hindsight it was a bad decision but back in '89 when I was a senior in high school there wasn't much info available to make a good decision. Such is life. I have more info and images on my website at www.hotshoestudios.com for anyone that wants to take a look.
Fantastic, I'm really loving where this thread is going! I know we have more designers out there who have work of theirs to show as well as people who just paint for fun. Interior design and architecture counts also! Whatever you can put down on paper counts, so let's keep it going! _J
Well, if interiors count too. I have a few more! I did every single thing here by hand right down to building the pit wall, shutters, banners, faux paint, signs, etc. It was an absolute blast and it's the view I get to stare at all week. The cars aren't too bad either! Great work everybody. Shows just how much talent there is on f-chat. Here's my latest (I did both the oil and the framing). Image Unavailable, Please Login
There are some very talanted artists on FC. I make my living as a professional sculptor. You can see more at, www.brankoart.com She is 15 ft. tall, cast bronze and titled, 'Wings of Triumph'. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you very much! Yes, if you went by the art tent you most likely did. It's hard to capture the piece in photos. The "warehouse" is a private collection in South Florida. That car is a Vignale bodied 1951 212 Export. It is an amazing sculpture in its' own right. Awesome work Grant. I especially like the reflection pieces. That is also a beautiful painting DiCenzo and Branko's sculpture is great. I have a new found respect for sculptors after seeing first hand how time consuming it can be. This thread is very uplifting in a dreary time. I know how difficult it is to be a full time artist and still feed your family in the best of times let alone the mess we are in now. Most of us are relegated to having a "real" job during the day and trying to squeeze our art in our "spare" time (yeah, like I have any of that!). I'm sure I can speak for all of you when I say that if money were no object we'd still be creating art. Heck, if I won the Powerball I'd just have a massive studio to spend all my time creating art simply for the love of it. I'd give everything away for free to deserving Ferraristi who I know would enjoy it.
Really a great amount of talent here. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
