    Well I broke down and bought a copy of this book. Waiting until Christmas to open it up but from the looks of it, it appears to be the definitive book on Ralph McQuarrie, the head production artist for the original Star Wars movies.

    McQuarrie created the Millennium Falcon, he created the Death Star. He created Boba Fett, he created Darth Vader. He created the Imperial Walkers, he created the X-Wing fighters. Just about all of the key elements of the Star Wars universe were dreamed up by McQuarrie with input from George Lucas.

    The list price is $250 but it appears to be going for much more than that on the secondary market.

    Anyway if you have the means I highly recommend picking one up. :)
