Here's what I said so far. Too bad that "floating roof" is being used by makers of much lower cost cars. Happy to hear brickbats thrown at my comments...

SIDE: One of the most daring views, but also keeping with sports car tradition. It has the long long bonnet that we expect a front engine sports car to have. It has an expensive looking side vent that gives one the illusion the body is that thick. It has a sharp edged rear fender that is “squared off” for the catwalk similar to present Bentley Continental GTC and even new Camaro. The band of black separating roof from body at the “C” Pillar is called by stylists creating a “floating roof.” I would like it more except several automakers are doing it this year, even some with much lower priced cars.

FRONT Traditional grille cavity shape kept in harmony with its past, despite pesky bumper laws that dog automakers. A nicely chiseled hood hump comes all the way down to the front. Headlights –we seemingly all have to live with LED and they start to look alike, with these having nothing that says “Aston” in any way. Front spoiler is painted darker color (or is that natural color of carbon fiber?) glad it looks detachable since they are the first victims damaged when encountering a high curb.

REAR: I like the spoiler being tucked away until it is needed, then it rises out of its slot. Nothing looks more pretentious than the fixed in place spoiler on stilts on the rear of a car that's parked. Taillights separated by body colored bar—justified by making it different than many rectangular taillighted cars. Chrome exhaust pipes are highlighted more by being against black background.

overall I really like the DB11. my biggest complaint is with the "floating roof", because it reminds me of a Nissan Maxima. That said, the DB11 Volante will be gorgeous :)

I also wish the rear of the car was as clean a design as we saw on the DB10 prototype/movie car, but I'm sure there's all sorts of aero issues, laws and insurance reasons (bumper standards, etc) that make that not so.

DB11 is one of the best looking modern cars on the road.

Could it be better ? Not sure about that as proportionally everything works.

Could it be different ? Yes, absolutely. There are little things I would personally do differently.

Would my changes sell a single additional unit? No. And thats what matters.

PS the above is what I teach to the art directors working for me when it comes to product design.

The DB10 looks a lot better for the reasons stated above IMO. I love the seamless design. I hope Bentley doesn't go down AM's path with that floating roof and keeps their hydroformed or whatever method body panel process to keep it sleek.

Aston keeps raising the bar just when you think they have it perfect.

    Vanquish V12.

A floating roof allows for some beautiful contrasting colour combinations. I hope we see more floating roofs in the future.

Beautiful car, but somehow the whole thing just does nto seem compelling. Maybe the vantage is such perfection of proportion to me that the newer ones seem a little lesser.

Agree but in comparison to the previous DBS, I like the DBS design more than the DB 11
One thing however on the DB 11 is that the interior is much better along with a much improved electronics interface.

And I saw the DB 11 at the Pasadena Ferrari Concorso.
