10,127 square feet... how many cars ?

A good rule of thumb for planning a "typical parking garage" is 320/sf per stall (includes the circulation space - very tight and not so appealing...in your case would fit about 30 cars.)

If wanted to make it more spacious and realistic for exotics, use a multiplier on that by 1.3x or so. Which would allow about 22-25 cars...

Ever look at house plans or actuall new houses? A lot of the two car garages are 19x21. Those are the houses where both cars sit outside all of the time.

 

I thought the correct answer was "One fewer than you want"

 

I'm referring to large spaces, like the 10k you mention. Ie When doing 5 level 100k+ sf garages...

This rule would definitely not apply to a house

Oh I'm thinking your 320 is much better than the standard.

 

I think reality is 10x20 spots with a 20 ft wide isles.
