Hi All, Does anyone know of or have pics of a Daytona in any of the off white/cream colours? Avorio (Ditzler, Italver, or other?) Cream/Avorio Tetrarch? Would love to see what a Daytona looks like in off white. Also what was "standard white" for Daytona's? Bianco Polo Park? Pic of a white one attached.
This GTC/4 is the avorio color but in the 4 seater version of the 365... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bianco Polo Park? Still trying to get a handle on that colour. It strikes me as a warm white, but also with a touch of green in it? Does that sound right? It never looks "refrigerator white", which is good.
I know this car! Giallo Dino is one of my all time favourite colours. Thanks for the pics. But apparently there were 8 or 9 Daytona's done in Giallo Dino. I know of two Spyders. And I've seen a few in white. But none in off white/ivory?
Not that I can recall for sure. I took off the other pictures as they are not avorio. Fantasy Junction had a Spyder in maybe off white or pale yellow some time ago. Maybe owned by a Detroit music producer?
This is the colour I'm thinking of primarily. I think by era it would be Avorio Tetrarch? Amazing the difference between this colour (which is a complex and subtle off-white) and modern day Avorio, which is basically just beige.

Great pic, thanks. Yeah it's funny. I LOVE Giallo Dino. I really do. Not perfect for every car but a really stunning and understated colour, IMO. I also love the old Avorio, as seen on the GTC/4 above, for the same reasons. But I really don't like the current Avorio. Go figure. Does someone here own that Giallo Dino Daytona now? There's a video of it displayed at a car show on youtube from a while back, but I think it's been sold at auction since then.
Yeah that Daytona is a factory GTS, #14389. Giallo Dino. Originally owned by Lou Adler. It appeared onscreen in the 1973 Altman movie "The Long Goodbye". I love that car. If I won the lottery tomorrow I'd track down the owner and make him an offer he couldn't refuse.
To Die For... What is the red car with the campy wheels on right background side of daytona?? behind the Dino..or is that a 275...the yellow marker is a 275 marker not dino..
Thanks for the correction, Marcel. I was just repeating what Fantasy Junction had stated in their ad for the car years ago. Back to the original question, can I ask you if you know of any 365 GTB/4's that were painted in Avorio?
Thanks Marcel. If I'm reading correcting on barchetta.cc I think that 13223 was painted green at some point later on, which is too bad. I'd love to see a Daytona in Avorio. Can't find any pics online. Thanks and best, Dave
212166 and 14203. I took those pix in post #9 at Quail Lodge, in front of the Bonhams tent. Marcel Massini
Certainly a rare treat to see those two colors posed together! I especially like the 1971 period silver nose treatment on that Daytona which maybe came from (Montreal dealer?) originally. This picture also taken by you at Bonhams? The famous 'Cannonball race' Daytona *14271* also has the silver nose treatment. Just like this fly yellow Daytona 14909 a rather late example with the silver nose paint. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just to be clear, 212166 is painted the current version of Avorio, and 14203(Daytona) is painted Giallo Dino. Is that correct?
Yes. LF 212166 owner Sammy Hagar says the paint is "Capuccino". The Daytona 14203 at Bonhams is Giallo Dino 20-Y-348. Marcel Massini
