I just acquired some hood decals for my Willys jeeps. Any advice before I bumble up the application? Any secrets to this I should know BEFOREHAND? :)

use plenty of water from spray bottle... water, windex, soap solution, or special gel/solution... they all allow the decals to float into position... the solutions keep the decal from sticking to the surface... use a squeegee like a credit card or purpose made to smooth decal and set decal into position, then remove any bubbles that can form...never too much water only not enough... any adhesive will go into action once the water dries... if there are any test pieces try them first to get familiar with floating the decal. .. it is very easy... dry fit and mark the position first to guide you where you want them

Can't thank you enough, and I will use your experienced advice. Any issues with removal? Is it going to damage/destroy anything permanently? Haven't even put em on yet and worried about removal. I just want to 'know' that they are removeable without damage before adhering.

Wash and claybar the areas first so that the panels are perfectly smooth as well and no contamination is under the film or any noticeable bumps.

Thanks Josh...I'm delayed with application for a few days as I've ordered a different sized graphic for one of the jeeps. Keep up the good tips!

Decals? We dont need no stinkin decals!

    Decals are fun!
All of the above is great advice.
I could add that a hair dryer or heat gun can speed up smooth application.
Never work with cold decal or cold drying garage.
    I self taught myself .
Very easy once you know process.
If the clear top tape is part of decal.
Wait....... and wait til the adhesive on decal sets.
You are always tempted to remove it early.
A heat gun speeds evap of water.
