Pffffft !!!!! Nothing new. General Motors had peelable primer mastered in the mid 80's. I remember many trucks and cars with factory paint rolling down the road with patches of paint falling off. Some have said it is still a problem.
Talking of peelable, has anyone used the "Dip Your Car" system, or had it done? Experiences with finish quality, longevity, care/cleaning, under-paint protection? They've got some wild color-changing pearl finishes for not that much cash if you do it yourself. Getting it done costs $1500+, but if it lasts 3-5 years (parking inside or covered) that's not too bad. https://www.dipyourcar.com/
Labor intensive, but the finished product does have a gloss finish that can be polished. And it's removable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=960v4EPv0FA Their website: Liquid Wrap Professionals | Halo EFX Removable Coatings
