I think it will just sit in my basement. Actually drinking it would ruin any remaining nostalgia I have...
Zima! If drinking Miller is living the high life, is drinking Zima living the low life? Zima was made in Memphis while I lived there. I tried to support a Memphis product, especially as a good friend worked for Coors. The taste? Bleh. T
Might be good ice cold on a REALLY hot day. I remember them being something like an alcoholic 7-up sort of flavor. Some of the Mike's hard lemonade flavors are pretty good for something different. Black cherry I think is one I liked. I also have tried a couple of the new crop of hard Root beers and they are ok. None of these are something I'd want to drink a whole bunch of though.
Nailed it Jdubbya! IMO Mike's hard lemonade was OK; many of these malt beverages, hard ciders, etc. are too sweet for my taste. Something that is a bit tart is a nice contrast. If I'm doing sweet booze, I want something tropical that looks good with a little paper umbrella sticking out of it! T
A buddy of mine works for Coors. He says the original was just unflavored clear malt beverage, which is why all the kids added jolly ranchers to it for flavor. The new one is heavy on the 'citrus' flavored. Not bad, but I won't be going back anytime soon.
I wonder why it ever went away. I always liked it. Its modern replacement, if I remember correctly how Zima tasted, is Smirnoff Ice.
Is he sure about that? I remember it having a very distinctive lemon lime flavor. It definitely wasn't unflavored. It's why chicks loved it.
Oh man, I just rechecked this thread, reviewed your picture of the Zima, and saw a bunch of the Smirnoff Ice I mentioned! Dood! You like this stuff fer sure! That's cool. Really.
