I went to a tequila bar/taqueria last night. Unfortunately I don't remember which tequila I had but it was pretty good. Different. I usually go to either Cabo Wabo or Don Julio when I want it though. Recently finished a bottle of the Casamigos resposado which I thought was very good.
Hussongs Reposado- makes a great margarita or shot Avion (silver or reposado)- use the silver for shots and will use either for a margarita. Found out about this from Entourage. Gotta support Turtle Herradura (silver or reposado)- typically just use for margaritas but have used the silver for shots Don Julio 1942- delicious Casa Dragones Silver- had it once. Served to me warm but I still enjoyed it I will normally just order Patron Silver for shots at a bar. It's too difficult to ask what they have while yelling across the bar. Everyone has patron and it's decent enough. Some bars I know have a better selection and I'll order something else.
Probably my favorite, too! For everyday, though? I'm happy with Jose Cuervo. If I need something deeper/richer, I go for a mezcal.
I'm guessing Two Fingers doesn't rate with this crowd, eh? LOL The few times I've ordered Tequila I've no idea what was poured. You'd think hobnobbing with Ed Brown and Scott Sharp I would favor Patron but I've never even tasted it. Ah the joys of genes that don't tolerate alcohol very well. :-(
Casa Noble - Extra Anejo is highly acceptable! Siete Leguas - Reposado is good, not widely available in the U.S. Don Julio - 1942 is excellent Just a few........
I like this as well. Add some home made spicy peach puree (fresh peaches and Thai chili peppers, reduced) and a splash of triple sec for a great spicy peach margarita...T
Very chilled Patron silver. I’ve tried the other more expensive and exclusive brands, but I keep coming back to Patron silver.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Seleccion Supremacy de Herradura. Yum. Full disclosure tequila is not my go-to so my taste buds might be misleading. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Jose gold is a "mixto" tequila having 51.5% agave and 48.5% whatever else they throw in...usually rum. Stick with 100% agave tequila. Tastes better, no hang overs, and a nice buzz. I like Don Julio anejo, 1942, and actually lots of other anejo's i keep finding. Cheers! Ps; drink it on ice with a lime....perfect or splash it with a little water if it is too hot. Ice melting will help it smooth up as well
