Pirelli bringing softs & hards to Spain
Hey,
For the first time this season there's a two step gap in the compounds for Spain. Given the heavy influence the rubber has had on everyone's performance so far this could really shake things up. Seems that some of 'em prefer the softer compound and others the reverse. Could be anything from a one thru four stopper. Hembery is saying it'll keep them on their toes...... Which is probably a good thing (?) Cheers, Ian http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/99433 |

This also means the car setups are going to be different in order to find a compromise between both compounds. The plot thickens........

Gonna be interesting, especially with a circuit that demands high traction and high speed corners..

![]() It's "strategy", not "gimmicks" ![]() As long as they don't all go into the ridiculous "tire saving mode" in Q3 I think it's a great thing - Challenge these guys and let 'em figure it out...... Tires too hot/cold? Your problem - The next guys down the pit lane are doing a better job etc etc. Same for everyone. Cheers, Ian |

The lame Q3 thanks to everyone saving tires is what I hate the most. It's ruining what used to make quali exciting... |
