I doubt they are done. Both would be foolish to screw up their relationship.

Lewis neds to start acting like an adult, and driving like the WDC he is.

So you think this translates to his overall dissatisfaction with Macca? You could be right but where would he go. Ferrari?

He is unstable and unable to control himself, ultimately he seems as much a liability as an asset. He must be a nightmare to work with, one of those guys that makes you hate to head into the office.

If he could shut his mouth and control his emotions he would be an elite driver overall. right now, he's just a fast problem.

When you have drivers that are just as fast-Vettel, Alonso for instance, that contribute to their team as more than just a driver, well, IMHO they are the elite. Lewis doesn't measure up. Alonso grew up, Vettel has always been solid.

You know as soon as things go wrong the Maca team is not asking themselves how to fix the problem, their first instinct will be "oh $h*t what are we going to have to do to control/contain Lewis"and the meltdown that always follows. Wonder who is stuck with the job of his defacto therapist/councilor to listen to him and say "oh yes you spoiled little baby the world is so unfair, everyone is against you, you're right but you must try to handle this properly"

His Mom ought to show up to these races, slap his face, and tell him to stop acting like a child and grow up. : )

Can we all finally agree that it was Lewis that caused the problems when Alonso and him were at McLaren together. He might occasionally be fast but he is a nightmare for a team. No other team surely would want him, surely.

Divulging this data cannot be something his contract can tolerate surely. Seems odd. If he thinks this is a good negotiating tactic he is sorely mistaken. No driver is irreplaceable....ever.

Absolutely not. I believe Hamilton was not the same person he is today. Back then, he was fast and kept his mouth shut. Now, he's about the most arrogant person on the grid. You cannot ignore the stunts Alonso pulled, he's no saint. Alonso is behaving himself becuase he is in no danger of being showed up by Massa and Ferrari is catering to his every whim.

Agree with that, not in a million years and even then it would be to soon.

Ham wears his heart on his sleeve, and that's it, and there is nothing whatsoever wrong with that.

Next you will be telling me Alonso is some sort of heaven sent Angel.

No other team would want him!!!, for heavens sake what are you smoking....what a complete and utter load of Bollox.

Pete you are completely far to biased to even comment.
    Man alive such short memories.

    fixed ;)

If Lewis hasn't matured by now I doubt that he ever will. It will be tough for Macca to cut him loose but it would be best for all concerned.

RD said recently, its not about what LH wants. He has a job and there is a contract. Its up to the team to keep him was the implication. LH is replaceable. No question. I think LH's management is in need of replacement to be honest. LH is another F1 driver, not a Dr with the cure to cancer. If he is let go the world still turns. No question. It did when they fired Kimi and when MS 'decided' to retire.

I for one dont think he will be let go.....

The title of this thread is a gross exaggeration.

Hamilton will be at Mac forever. Mac is putting pressure on him to sign and they are screwing with him.

It looks like Ron Dennis did learn a bit from Enzo when it comes to head games.

There seems to be something a bit "off" about Lewis lately (during interviews etc). Anyone noticed that? I can't read him, really, but something's just not right there.

    Where can Hamilton really go?

    • Ferrari doesn't want him, as long as Alonso is there
    • Red Bull already have their 2 drivers
    • Lotus might consider giving up Grosjean's seat now given he's only finished 5 of 11 races, but will Kimi play well w/ Hamilton?
    • Williams-Renault can't boot loldonado...the $46M PVDSA/he brings to the table is just too juicy. So, Senna's seat would be more likely but why join a midfield team?
    • Mercedes? Hamilton would be stupid to take that leap of faith
    • Sauber? Again, it's still a midfield team granted they've shown great pace at certain weekends and seem to keep improving as the season progresses but is it worth a gamble over McLaren?
    • Other teams? Hamilton would be stoopid stupid to consider any of them

He's stuck at Mclaren, probably will be done at Mclaren too imo.

LewHam's gotta be careful, otherwise he's going to turn into JV 2.0 and whine himself out of good rides.

I can agree with your post. Makes sense.
Don't smoke :). I honestly don't believe any other team would want him. Way too much negativity and effort. And yes I dislike the guy, accepted.
    Agree.

He is really close to doing himself out of a role in F1 IMO.

Some team will always want him. Not necessarily one he thinks "worthy" though.
