Also: - No more battery/KERS requirements - No more fuel restrictions - Teams are open to use tires from any manufacture - No more aero and front nose height requirements - The only new regulation... all cars must now have stick shifting manual transmissions. Unfortunately, it's April 1st in Australia.
I KNEW it! Man you might have had us if you didn't throw in all the other stuff. Just wait till the night races and look for the turbo flames exiting the pipes. F1 Extra guys mentioned it yesterday on NBCSN.
****! I was ready for a big HALLELUIAH! F1 is living a true nightmare, when are they, and we, gonna wake up?
V12's I could believe, the next 3 I knew you were joking. I recently watched a clip from the grid of the 2005 US GP, and from Ecclestone's comments at the time - I doubt we'll ever see tire wars in F1 while that is still in memory.
Meh. Buxton is on an ''everything is awesome, everything is brilliant'' crusade since he got a job at NSBCS (or some combination of those letters). Just about any driver that finishes in the top 10 in GP2/3 is somehow the most brilliant thing ever. No idea why he does this, suppose because he can then claim once one of them makes it to F1 he can say ''I've been saying this for years'' or something (can think of no other logical reason). That said do enjoy his commentating mostly, just disagree with some of his statements. Luke Smith is a friend of my little brother (they went to school together) and writes for NSBCS as well, he's also not so fond of the new engine noise... I've got faith in F1, returning it to N/A + (K)ERS format in a couple of years and making them louder for next season most likely.
Here is another April fool news gem, in French but translation is not needed Brawn de retour avec Bentley F1 ? - F1i.com MS
100% spot on. He's also the king of trying to create false drama. Example: Hamilton retires from AUS GP. Buxton: "Look out, even though he is in the garage, Lewis is may not be OUT OF THIS RACE!" So irritating.
