Hi Folks I don't chime in much here, but I love this forum. Wouldn't it make sense for Ferrari to hire Ross Brawn to get their **** back on track ? I assume he's not allowed to work this year legally, what about for 2015 ? They need him....
Personally I think he would flop, the management structure is to blame. They already have very clever people but most are being stifled by poor decisions and political in fighting...same crap they suffered years ago.
Look where Merc is now. That doesn't come because suddenly he's left... IMO Ferrari is where they are now because of what you mention above, poor decisions and political fighting. Ferrari is being run by their emotions and it quite simply doesn't work. We've had 1 podium in 9 races. Pathetic.
Best money is on Brawn going to McLaren/Honda next year. Either that or he'll stay in the garden. BHW
I'm not so sure. He may have really decided he's had enough, but he's a racer and I think he'll miss it after a year or two of fishing. Does he want to deal with the aggravation and political BS? He's certainly successfully dealt with it all in the past, so it's not like he's going in blind. Who he'll return with is another question of course. Ferrari? 'Been there, done that'. Mclaren? Not sure how he'd work alongside Ron. Merc is obviously out and the Cans seem set. Try and drag a midfielder up they grid? That would cement his legacy if he were to succeed. Cheers, Ian
I agree. He has nothing to prove, presumably sufficient funds, and at a certain point in life one begins to recognize that time really is the most valuable commodity.
They interviewed Ross Brawn on the grid at the Goodwood meet a couple of weeks ago and naturally the conversation turned to the GP due the next day, he talked about the Merc cars as if he was still involved with them. He's definitely enjoying some time off but I think F1's under his skin and he'll be back. btw I heard he never sold his house just South of Maranello
Ros s neve r had to deal with political BS He had Tom Walkinshaw Flavio Briatore And The little french man to deal with bs .
Anyone is better than the current team boss. Not to worry Ferrari fans I think his days are numbered anyways
People on here have been calling for domenicalli to be fired for years now. He apparently has a special relationship with someone in power to curry such favor.

The scuderia needs an ass kicker like Flavio at the helm... Get it done or get going.. Nice guys finish last
Will be very interesting to see how this all plays out. You would think a lot of teams will try and recruit his services if it becomes known that he is open to a return.
