What an amazing team this would be. Hamilton and Alonso with the right car = unbeatable.
YES YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Ham in red my planets line up, not sure it would work with Fred tho.
Why would he want to leave Merc? He must want to be champ again at some point. Ferrari aint getting it done and hasn't been for while now.
What Lewis did in Germany proved he really is something very special. I would love to see him at Scuderia!
Lol, why would he want to move from by far the best car on the grid to something red but slow? Driving for Ferrari might be nice and romantic, but I think he'd rather drive something in pink and unbeatable. +1 I can then not support Ferrari at all until one of them at least leaves.
Hahaha come on Bas you want them to win again don't you.. My bet is you'd change your mind if he started bringing it home.
It would have been nice to indicate in the thread's title that this is conjecture. Just adding a question mark would help. As it was, I had to open the thread to realize that my worst nightmare (Hamilton to Ferrari) was only a hypothesis.
would Hambone be any worse than Kimi at this point? (granted, Ham and Alo at the same time would be a disaster)
That's what people told me about Alonso too. He's brought it home many times but I still dislike him!
Would love it. Hamilton is a top class driver and it would be awesome for the fans to see him go up against Alonso again, except this time he wouldn't be the favorite within the team That said...Alonso and Kimi with the right car = unbeatable so it doesn't really matter until Ferrari actually builds a good car. Haven't had a top flight car since 2008.
Ferrari have been nowhere for 30 years other than when all the planets were aligned in the Brawn/Schumacher/Todt era. I don't see them improving with current management so he'd be insane to go near them.
He's already getting around 20 million from Mercedes. Unless Ferrari is about to double that, what difference does it make to Hamilton? He must be worth around 150 million USD these days, an extra 5 or 10 on 20 really isn't going to make a difference to their lives anymore. Another title or 2 will..
Hamilton is a non German/Austrian in an almost all German/Austrian show - I could see him wanting to move. This year is guaranteed, next year, cards may fall otherwise. Driver swaps generally surprise me though. I did not expect Kimi to accept Ferrari's offer, and was very surprised that Ferrari made him an offer as well!
Couple of the big boys are German and from that German province, but the whole team is based in England and almost entirely English.
