Love these. Well done. The Eagle has always been one of my favorite GP cars. It's such an amazing design.

    Do you ever do color?

It just so happens I was checking the car out yesterday at the Revs Institute.

Your drawing has captured it well :)

My photography was limited to pictures only with no flash. I saw where they allowed people to sketch the cars but not sit in front of them while doing it.

Is that how you draw or do you use pictures for reference?

Photography is easy for me but I have no skill for drawing or painting. I think if someone was drawing a car yesterday I could've stood behind them mesmerized watching them create on paper.

    +1

A long time ex G/F used to draw from 'life'. She'd sit on the floor & I'd lay on the sofa behind peeking over her shoulder..... Her cat was a favorite. I couldn't even figure out what she was doing until it was done!..... Amazingly sexy way to spend a couple of hours! ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

    Before my little diversion there, I meant to say/ask;

    - I love the drawing
    - how big is it?

    Cheers,
    Ian

    Thanks Ian,

The drawing it'self is about 16" in length .That's about the size I like to work...larger than that and the pen sizes change. To get real detail in color work it's about 24"
Here's some of the tools I use....an old fashioned 'Speedball' dip pen and 'Rapidograph pen depending on the subject.
I usually work from photographs I've taken because sitting next to a car is not an option as for time and availability of the vehicle.

Awesome stuff, thanks for the info!

A talent I very much admire, but simply do not possess! (And before anyone else says it, "among many others!" ;) )

    Cheers,
    Ian

Which magazines if you don't mind me asking? Looks very similar to drawings I admired in R&T in the 70's.

    Very nice.
