Alonso deserves 75 million at the least plus endorsements.
Without him Ferrari would have been nowhere close to second last weekend.

i would give him some 50 million kicks in his teeth!! Thre are plnety of places where to better spend that money, and drivers that will do the same for 1 /10th....
If they build the best car there are plenty of drivers that can win with it...focus on that!

Kimi would've podiumed had the strategy ''masterminds'' not forgotten their common sense that weekend.

But yes, for now it's a side note over the whole season...:(

Give me 1 Million American and i'll do just fine in a non competitive car. Maybe even score a point or two if 12 other people crash or have engine failure.

As Andrea Boccelli would say... "time to say goodby..."

Alonso is not worth that much money - sorry, he's not that great. where else would he even come close that kind of money?

    Mercedes - no
    McLaren - no
    Williams - no
    Redbull - no....

let him go. and while they are at it - Sack Riakkonnen...

put in Button and Bianchi or try to get Vettle.

What driver will do the same? Maldonado? Grosjean? Bianchi? Chilton? Give us ONE name, that has the driver skills of FA. Even good old Kimi doesn't come close to the performance that Alonso gets out of this mule. Focussing on building the best car is definitely not a matter of money in the first place. Everybody knows that. It's about having the right people on the right places at the right time.
Alonso is the captain of this very difficult to navigate ship, without him Ferrari F1 would be absolutely nowhere.

I'll pay $1,000 a race to drive the ugly bad red car next season. No problem. :)

Not questioning Alonso´s habilities, but for me the big question is: how much car development can you buy for that money?

Unless Ferrari build the next Mercedes he is not going to win another title. He should drive as is 1 more year, or quit this year. He has amazing skills and talent but Ferrari simply need a better car.

Hark Hark! A bargain! A bargain! Yay, they should even all bow before his might and prowess and offer him double, nay, but even that be not enough, but Ferrari shouldst offer him the entire cash flow. Nay, but not just the cash flow of the team, but even Bernie shouldst appoint all the money for Formula 1 for Alonso's good pleasure. For doth not his teammates bring out safety cars while Alonso who didst brilliantly pit the lap before dost go onto win? And dost not Alonso outqualify his teammate by parking his car in the pit stall without turning a wheel? Who can hail the mighty praise that deserveth Alonso. Even a choir of a thousand singers wouldst be but vile knavery and dribbling prattle compared to the vast glory that Alonso deserveth. Aye, but 50M be but pittance.

    Ricci and Bottas for 2016.

Next superstar team when Kimi and Alonso are old. And less than 50 mill for the 2 of them (probably less than 30 actually!

Ask high and settle where you wanted to be at originally. Negotiation 101.

Ferrari has been throwing money at big names (Brawn, Newey) to get them to come on board and it hasn't worked. Money isn't the issue.

If they don't think they can improve the car any time soon, then giving Alonso whatever he wants is about the only way to keep them somewhat in the chase IMO.

Given how rich he is, I almost wonder if something else is going on here...

It might be conditional; give me a WDC capable car and I'll give you titles, and you pay me 20+ bonus...if you can't, I want 50 mill + any bonus.
