Merc are a good 2 sec ahead of the field. One could say maybe the gap has got bigger after the break though it is a very long lap. Williams don't look good despite what we all thought. Where did their speed go?

Happy both mercs are next to eachother on the grid. Think lewis will take it but will be a fight to the end.

With alonso and vettel side by side hoping for another epic battle like the previous ones they've had this year.

Thinking ham, rosberg, alonso, vettel, ricciardo top 5.

Think the Williams don't seem to have it. In any event, they always stuff strategy up and throw it away

Williams is slow because their car doesn't do wet weather.

If it stays dry Bottas should end 3rd, no hope to beat the Merc's who have improved even more and Bottas has to deal with 3 very fast drivers/cars in front of him.

Losing out in free practice as well though? Mind you they usually hide things in practice and run heavier fuel. So plausible I guess.

Interesting bit on Ferrari just now.

Mattiachi confirmed both drivers for next year (as we know) without hesitating.

This years car is NOT James Allisons' design. Going to be interesting what he comes up with next year. His Lotus E20 and E21 where pretty damn impressive for a cash strapped team. As discussed earlier, the inherent design of the f14t just doesn't allow the modifications needed to give Kimi the car he needs.

    Fingers crossed.

Missed that bit (watching part of the slide show on ****ty connection before heading upstairs to watch the race)...

Keeping a driver happy is pretty damn important, especially for any of the top teams.

Sure is, but pitlane is quite short here so a 2 stop can work to be faster
