    Since we love to bash on here I thought it was also time to stop and smell the roses for a moment.

    So here are my fav 5:

    1 still around after 60+ years
    2 Ferrari in it from the beginning
    3 fastest race cars on a road course
    4 open wheels
    5 real fuel

    Again, in no order;

    - the history
    - the engineering/technology
    - the level playing field
    - the 'pomp & circumstance'. A true world championship
    - the speed
    - the sticky out wheels

    OK, that's 6, arguably, 7. Bite me! ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

    No bites necessary. I had a hard time restricting my choices to 5. And looking at other answers there were many I missed.

    That was kinda my point: while there is much to lament we sometimes forget how insanely awesome F1 still is

    As usual I guess, most people have a lot more to say when *****ing & moaning than complimenting! ;)
