I hope he stays at mclaren so I can see him up against alonso.


Mclaren are fools if they keep Magnussen. His level of talent is easy to replace. Button not so much.

 

The use of the word "that" implies that button has already been in discussion with sports car teams and perhaps isn't signing yet because he's waiting on mclaren. Otherwise webber would've said "a"; a sports car contract.

Button has certainly dominated his so-called "golden child' teammate. Love him as a driver and a person

 

But Mark Webber is a pal of Fernando Alonso, so...is this tweet without any second intention?

Same here, Jerome. Mag has no development cred and this is something McLaren will need with the new engine, even with Alonso in the team. I think it will ultimately be Honda's decision, not Dennis's. I believe Honda is having far more say in team operations than has been publicized.

I'm hoping he goes to Ferrari to replace kimi

 

Mattiaci appears to be in favor of over paying Kimi for another year if not more. He needed a yes man and has it. He must also think Kimi can do something along the lines of development.
Vettel and Kimi will be interesting.
No matter though as Ferrari have major issues with the engine. They need 1.5 seconds to pass Mercedes on track. Thats not going to happen in less than 5 months.

Would be great to have Button at Le Mans - which right now is more likely to provide the best racing entertainment whilst F1 indulges in the shambolic
