How far back do you want to go? Maybe Brazil 2008 was already karmic payback for Spa 2008, when the FIA invented a new rule on the spot to steal the win from Hamilton and gift a win to Massa? At this stage, 6 years later, it's time to let it go - everybody else has, including Massa. Even though I'm not a Massa fan, I was very impressed with his (clean) race today and the late race challenge.
Actually, look at the time stamps....it was his first post....nice introduction! ...and, no Massa should not have "taken out" Hamilton had he been close enough. That would have been classless. I would have loved to see them battle, but it was not to be. Congratulations on the victory and the WDC LH.
It would have been ideal for Rosberg not to have problems, and then a four way fight for the top three positions. As it was, Massa made the race sort of exciting, and hopefully showed he did not suck, it was and still is Ferrari. Taking anyone out would be horrible and a really bad thought OP. Hamilton did not really have to fight this time to win the race or the WDC. Pity, it should have more exiting.
just a what if scenario. Given how Massa lost WDC to Hamilton in last lap last race brazil in 2008. If Massa duel Ham and somehow got entangle and If Rosberg had came in 5th then Rosberg would had won wdc this year. Gone are the days where f1 drivers took each other out to win wdc eh? Hamilton was the better driver this year with more victories so he earned his 2nd WDC.
