Here's something I think y'all might enjoy. Fantastic Spanish TV documentary on Alonso's last race for Ferrari. I only speak just a bit of Spanish and really didn't understand much of what was said. Still, I found it to be a fascinating and touching look behind the scenes into the life of an F1 racer on a GP weekend. It got a little dusty in here toward the end of part 2, for certain. Clearly Alonso is loved not only in that team, but by others around the paddock, and he clearly isn't afraid to show his affection in return. Just a fantastic show, whether or not you're an Alonso or Ferrari fan, imho. Part 1:
Good video. Fernando is a nice guy. I like the comment when the massage bed broke and he said; "it's a Ferrari"
Thanks for posting. Very interesting if you understand Spanish. Second video can be found if you root around. There's a link in the comment section of the first one as well. The Spanish TV crew is much closer to him than I would have thought.
"no homo" but he is a good looking dude. I didn't realize how much Spanish I could understand until I watched him go through his equipment and explain how many pieces of each, what days they were used, et. I feel smarter
I actually found it by putting "alonso last race with ferrari" in youtube search. And the third or 4th video, albeit titled in Spanish, was the right one.
There is a download link for both parts in the description. Found it very interesting. It helps that I speak Spanish. He said the rooms they had in AD were bigger than what they usually have. You would think they would be sitting in the lap of luxury. Guess not. I also found it interesting how isolated he seemed..
Me too. I'm not a fan of Vettel and I didn't like rooting against Ferrari during the MS years. Looks like I'm there again...
Fernando Alonso - Last Race With Ferrari [1/2] (English subs by maclape) - Vìdeo Dailymotion Part 1 with English subtitles.
If he didn't like driving for Ferrari, and if the team didn't like him, then everyone in that documentary should get nominated for an academy award.
Part 2 should be up sometime next week. Keep an eye out for this bloke, he did the entire subtitles. Fernando Alonso documentary: My last race with Ferrari [1/2] (w/ English subs) : formula1 overview for maclape I was thinking the same, I feel Alonso and Dasha have perhaps broken up? She hasn't been since Russia from memory. It's interesting take on the matter. Alonso desperately wants that third title and with Ferrari it doesn't look like it will happen. The man himself said, 'Winning a title with Ferrari means more' but realistically any sort of championship seems miles away for Ferrari. Like life tough decisions have to made to accomplish your dreams. This is no different to Fred, I'm sad he's leaving Ferrari but sometimes you have to move on and try another method to succeed.
