Difficult as Silverstone is in the middle of nowhere

I recommend a hotel on the outskirts of London (I love the Hilton at Heathrow).

Rental car to the train station from where the chopper flies you in.

Mitchell, stay at your favourite 5 star in London and heli transfer to Silverstone. I've used Heli Air a couple of times. They landed inside the circuit and ran a car service to drop us at our hospitality suite. Great service, very convenient and easy. I think this is easily the best way to enjoy the British GP.

Depending on your budget there are various alternatives for choppers. Since you are talking 5 star hotel, $ might not be the issue. If it is/becomes, there are chopper services starting at train stations in the country side, which are relatively cheap.

The point of the chopper is to avoid the traffic jam near the circuit. The starting point of the chopper is merely a question of convenience and cash.

If you are going to Le Mans, many (perhaps even the most) of the best accommodation is in private homes rented out for the week. PM me and I can send contact details for a really helpful UK-based American broker I've used several times.

I believe that the TGV now runs from Paris to LeMans. Or rent a motorhome.
