They've retained Telmex, who seem likely to be becoming FI's major sponsor given that they'll be launching in Mexico City on the 21st with a new livery. So ... no?
Vijay has major creditor problems and actions working against him in India against his operations. The team is most definitely in jeopardy in the future unless major funding is found/continues. This is not a team on sound footing. Telmex might be enough but at which point does Telmex move on or buy the team? Force Mexico, I like that. I hope they keep Perez, I like him. Force India was very good last season, I thought. I would have thought Sauber to be more at risk of leaving F1 though ... Monica Kaltenhorn really sounded hysterical towards the end of last year.
The Force India rumours have been going around for years. Yet, their performance are quite solid, given the circumstances.
+1 It would be a fantastic team to buy if Carlos was interested. Much better than Lotus, who where late with their entry payment this year. I expect Lotus to fall or be picked up this year.

Ahead of the team's new livery launch in Mexico on Wednesday, the Silverstone-based outfit has confirmed that it will use its 2014 car for the first test at Jerez in Spain that starts on February 1. It means its Mercedes-powered VJM08 will not make its public debut until the Barcelona test that begins on February 19. Technical director Andrew Green said last year that the team had been pondering delaying the launch of its new car because of the three-week gap between the first two tests. "There is an argument to say you are much better off using those three weeks to move the car along as far as development is concerned, and then rolling out at Barcelona," he told AUTOSPORT. "There are advantages and disadvantages to both. It's not clear-cut like it was [in 2014]. "[Last year] you had to do the first test with the new power unit and the new chassis, you just had to get miles on the car. From GP Today. The latest team in serious peril is Force India, according to an insider. The Silverstone based team announced on Wednesday that it is sitting out the first test of the 2015 pre-season at Jerez. The reasons for the decision have not been well explained, but technical boss Andrew Green has said it was a "conscious decision" to trade the test for more "development time". But insider Ralf Bach, who writes for Sport Bild and TZ Munchen, writes on his blog f1-insider.com that the very future of the team is "far from certain". The off-track troubles of Vijay Mallya are well known, and Force India's co-owner Subrata Roy is even in jail. Bach reports that at the F1 strategy group meeting in London on Tuesday, it emerged that Force India is "facing financial collapse" and is currently insolvent. The situation means the 2015 car is delayed "because important parts suppliers have not been paid". Bach added: "If no money flows in the next four weeks, it is said even the opening two races in Australia and Malaysia are endangered. "The team is for sale," he claimed, "and Renault is interested as it wants to cut the cord to Red Bull and once again have a bigger presence in Formula 1." Meanwhile, Bach also claimed that Pastor Maldonado's place at Lotus is in doubt, as his and the Enstone team's major Venezuelan backer, the state-owned PDVSA, is in crisis over the dramatic fall in oil prices. He wrote: "Bernie Ecclestone is apparently looking for a buyer for Lotus, because he wants to get rid of the uncomfortable Gerard Lopez. "He has been trying for some time but so far has found no one."
