If the Korean GP was just an excuse for allowing a fifth engine as some say, there is nothing to complain about.

Korean GP would only make sense if there was actual local support. Glad to see it off the calendar until it's homegrown car companies take part. Wouldn't hurt if their multinationals sponsor the sport or drivers.

That's really the only way F1 will work in Korea. Korea needs a dog in the fight. My wife and her entire side of the family are all Korean and we are essentially tied to -whether we like it or not- the absolutely huge Korean population in the north Atlanta area and I'm always amazed at how knowledgeable most Koreans are regarding women's golf (many competitive Korean players), and the whopping 1or 2 Korean major league baseball players. The stands at Turner field were absolutely packed with Korean fans when the Texas Rangers were in town with their lone and very average Korean player, Shin-Soo Choo. Korea is an extremely nationalistic society no matter where they are in the world, so minus a driver/team/random mechanic or engineer with some degree of visibility, Korea has no chance at floating a regularly successful F1 track.

    Interesting.

I don't think the teams will miss going to the Korean track either. Pigsty doesn't quite describe it properly...

    Definitely.

Next thing I'd like to hear is progress on the Las Vegas project.

Why would you be thrilled about Vegas? I get the convenience aspect but it would suck from a photography and high speed corner visual perspective.

Going to a GP each year is a hard sell for me if the place is in the boonies like Austin. Going to Vegas would be a no brainer.

Photography would likely be harder but depends on the final layout and grandstands.

Korea ends a dog in the fight? Is that a pun? Don't they enjoy eating them for dinner rather than racing them? Hahahaha

Quick, someone replace the word 'dog' with a popular Korean pet they don't eat haha.

I'm gonna miss the stories about sex toy vending machines in the hotels in Korea.

They didn't have much infrastructure around the new track so the journos had to sleep in the nearest hotels, which were all basically brothels. The girls were (allegedly :)) transferred out of there ahead of time to make room for the guests. True story.
