IF McLaren is successful and/or comes close to Mercedes, which team do you think will be the next one to sport a Honda PU? Williams? Lotus? Sauber? Red Bull? Force India? Toro Rosso? Ferrari?? Mercedes? I tried to create a poll but I don't see the option.
I can see maybe Red Bull doing it if they don't do their own engine. Williams & FI are silly to dump Merc power. If Lotus gets rid of Merc it basically means the team is gone. Sauber I don't see switching from Ferrari power. Torro Rosso, a small chance but with the Italy connection I doubt it a little.
McLaren would have to "beat" Mercedes- not "come close", in order for a non- engine-brand team to even consider switching to a Honda PU. Good question, though!
... with so many zombie teams effectively bankrupt (e.g. Lotus; Sauber), the answer is, Magnussen. Honda's next additional power unit may well go to a 3rd driver, long before it ever goes to another team (e.g. Button; Alonso; Magnussen) - asj.
